LiU Invest divests half of its holding in PU sensor

LiU Invest sells half of its holding in PU sensor. The sale is carried out in connection with the capital raising round that the company has just completed.

PU sensor was founded with support from Linköping University Holding AB, (LiU Holding), by researchers Anna-Christina Ek and Margareta Lindgren. Through activities led by LiU Holding such as Venture Arena and Sommarmatchen, the company's current CEO, Johannes Walfridsson, and the company's CTO, Tova Persson, joined the company. When the company needed capital to get started and develop the first product, a device for assessing the risk of pressure ulcers, it was natural for LiU Invest to invest in PU sensor and to introduce PU sensor to LiU Invest's network of co-investors. The company now has a CE-marked product and has started sales both nationally and internationally.

- The company has developed well and we are now selling half of our holding to be able to use that capital to invest in other early spin-offs from Linköping University," says Jonas Nilsson investment manager at LiU Invest.
