Additional investment in energy storage technology
LiU Invest makes an additional investment in Ligna, which develops technology for environmentally friendly energy storage.
Ligna Energy AB develops technology to produce batteries using forest raw materials. The technology has its origins in research at Linköping University and development is carried out in close collaboration with the university. LiU Invest is now carrying out an additional investment together with other new and existing investors.
- We believe in the long-term benefits of Ligna's technology, says Jonas Nilsson, LiU Invest. In this investment round, we have also brought in a number of business angels who have co-invested with us in other companies and who are interested in sustainable investments.
