LiU Invest invests in CBot

LiU Invest is investing half a million SEK in CBot, which is developing a platform for mobile seeing robots. Almi and private investors are also participating in the issue of a total of SEK 3.2 million. The investment will be used to launch the company's first product - a tiling robot for large floors.

The Linköping company CBot is developing a platform for artificial vision and intelligence, which makes it possible to develop different types of stationary or mobile robots that see and understand their surroundings. This is particularly suitable for industries where objects are picked or assembled, such as construction, e-commerce or logistics.

The first product, developed in close cooperation with prospective customers, is a robot that lays floor tiles in large areas, such as supermarkets, malls and airports. This work is currently done manually, which is tiring and time-consuming.

CBot's four founders, with many years of experience in artificial vision at Linköping University, have developed the advanced software that controls the robot. Using sensors and smart algorithms, the robot replaces much of the manual work done in the construction industry today. The robot "sees" and understands its surroundings and can therefore place tiles on a floor surface with high precision.
