Investment in patent companies
LiU Invest has invested in OBOE IPR with the aim of creating a platform for the start-up of new companies with a basis in research into organic bioelectronics at Linköping University.
OBOE IPR is a platform for collecting patents and enabling both license deals and the start of new companies based on OBOE's patent portfolio. The investment ensures that OBOE can continue to work with both the inflow of patent ideas and the outflow of new startups that can commercialize the research ideas that have been patented.
One of the main areas of OBOE's operations is the so-called ion pump, which can be operated into the body and from there can dose medicine in precise amounts.
