Joint investment with Eir Ventures and Almi Invest

LiU Invest joins Eir Ventires and Almi Invest in ArgusEye, which develops sensors to streamline pharmaceutical production.

Linköping University has a long tradition of developing sensors. Using fiber optics and so-called surface plasmon resonance, the research group behind ArgusEye has developed a sensor that can significantly increase efficiency in pharmaceutical production. Many drugs are very expensive to manufacture, the manufacturing process is difficult to control. By being able to measure in real time, the process can be controlled better and waste can be avoided.

LiU Invest has a collaboration with the life science investor Eir Ventures regarding co-investments in the early phase. There is also a developed collaboration with Almi.

- The combination of Eir Ventures, Almi and LiU Invest gives the company the right conditions both for this phase and the next, says Jonas Nilsson, Investment manager, LiU Invest. In addition, some business angels with industry knowledge join the company, which further increases the company's prospects.
